Hi all

I have been visiting this website for sometime but I have only just joined because I have an issue that I hope you kind people could help me with.

I installed populous the beginning and undiscovered worlds due to major nostalgia for the game (I used to play it religiously when I was about 6 -7 years old). when populous starts, it goes straight to the matchmaker menu and when I click to go back the game exits. I cannot get any other menu and the matchmaker menu is the only thing that appears.
I tried it on my laptop with windows vista 32bit and it worked fine. My main computer is vista 64 bit but I do not think this is the problem.
If anyone could help I would be deeply grateful.

P.S. I have ran pop-fix but to no avail.

So when you start Populous by launching a game via the MM, it just goes back to the matchmaker after the loading screen of Populous appeared? Are you sure you installed the most recent patch 1.03?

Not clear enough information to answer correctly.

1. So you're saying once you launch from the matchmaker the game closes and goes back to desktop
2. You're launching the game then clicking multiplayer and matchmaking...?

yes I have tried patch 1.03 but no difference

Don't install UW - that can mess up the original Pop install.

Delete that and reinstall just Populous with patch 1.03

Thank you for the suggestion but it has not worked and im having the exact same problem
