Warrior

Warrior

The Warrior is the strongest of all followers and essential to any battle involving troops. In hand-to-hand battle, a warrior can do as much damage as six braves, though not such a huge boost in health. Warriors can be trained by sending any follower into a Warrior Training Hut. The result will be a new follower with a sword and training how to use it. Warriors are key in attacking because of the damage they can inflict on anything that gets in their way. A few warriors can take out most anything that gets in their way. Even a slow thinking shaman can be killed in a little over two seconds by only two warriors. Bad news if she's the only thing defending your base.

Warriors in towers have the special ability of alerting you of an attack with a double ring of the bells. When you hear this you can call your idle followers to arms by pressing the "B" key and they will run to the assistance of the tower with the warrior to help fight off the enemy attackers.

Their primary abilities are fighting and guarding. Keep a few warriors guarding the entrance to your base and most attacks will be stopped, plus the fact that they can easily fight off packs of ghosts that could be distracting your towers. It's not a bad idea to keep a few warriors guarding your shaman (just select the warriors and press "G") when attacking an enemy with lots of troops as they can keep her from having to blast off everyone and progress farther and faster.

Warriors are excellent attackers. In groups of twos or threes they can destroy a large hut and kill all the followers in under a minute without breaking a sweat and be ready to take on the next hut. Given that they have more hit points than a brave, it usually takes two or three blasts from a shaman to kill them so small groups can even get by a shaman without dying (providing they stay away from the water). Should anyone in the game aquire the armageddon spell (or charge it), you'll want to train the majority of your population into these guys (especially if you're going to cast it!). Sure it's nice to keep some firewarriors around, but the arena of an armageddon spell, it's all about how much damage you can inflict on the enemy so warriors are the perfect follower for the cause.
